Terms of service

Roostwire gives your game server a public address and carries player traffic to it. These terms keep that arrangement fair for both sides, in plain words.

The service is young. It works, and we run it with care, but we do not yet promise a specific uptime. When something breaks, we say so on the News page and fix it. Do not run something life-critical on it.

Who can use it. You must be at least thirteen, old enough to form an account agreement where you live, and not previously removed from the service.

Your stuff stays yours. Your game servers, your worlds, your players, your data. We claim no rights over anything you host. The service itself, its software, its site, and the Roostwire name stay ours, and using the service does not license you to copy or rebrand them.

Your account is yours to guard. Keep your password and your enrolment tokens private. Two-factor sign-in is available on the Account page, and we recommend it.

Follow the rules. The rules page says what the service may and may not be used for. Breaking them can mean suspension or removal of the account, and in serious cases without warning.

Billing and cancellation. Paid plans bill monthly through our payment provider. Cancel any time from the Account page: the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and nothing renews after that. Prices can change; subscribers hear about it by email before their next renewal. The refund policy says when we give money back.

We can change the service and these terms. When we do, the change is dated here and announced on the News page. Using the service after a change means the current version applies.

No warranty, limited liability. The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by downtime, lost traffic, or anything a player of yours does, and never for indirect losses like lost profits. If we are ever liable despite that, the ceiling is what you paid us in the previous twelve months.

You answer for what you host. If what you run through the service gets us dragged into someone else's claim, you agree to cover the costs that come from it. Host lawful things and this clause never matters.
